HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RE-STORE DONATIONS INFO:


If you are looking to donate any items household items contact Habitat for Humanity Restore. They have a retail store in Wayne on Hamburg, you can drop items off there. They will pick up bigger items, furniture, appliances. Call 973-782-6996 for pick up. You can also shop at the re-store as well. They do not take TV's, or any press board items. Proceeds go towards Habitat for Humanity in our area.

Adult Summer Reading @ Wayne Public Library not just for kids!

Get Ready For Adult Summer Reading! "Between the Covers"!

July 1 - September 4, 2012

All Wayne Residents age 18 and up are invited to join in on the 2012 Adult Summer Reading Program! No Registration required!

You may read a book or listen to an audio book, write a brief review and tell us if it kept you "Between the Covers" or Not! Place the review in the Entry Form Box at the Reference Department's "Between the Covers Summer Reading Station" or blog about it on the 
Wayne Discussion Blog. 

The more you enter, the more chances you have to win the GrandPrize of a $50 *surprise gift card goody package! Winner will be chosen at random on September 5th! "Between the Covers" entry forms will be available at "Between the Covers Reading Station" in the Adult Reference Area and at the Preakness Branch Library or can be printed by clicking right here.

Residents of Packanack were warned yesterday of police hunting down a suspect in their neighborhood. Thankfully he was caught, but in the yard of a 3 year old child's tree house with the child nearby. See the local section of today's Record for the story.

Summer reading books:  CHEAP  Check out www.half.com for new and used books at great prices. 
Tip: If you don't want your child to carry a heavy text book buy one at Half.com for the school year to keep at home, then you can sell it when you are done** . Make sure that there isn't an e-book available through the Wayne Schools first which is free!!

** You can also donate the text book to your child's school in their honor!  Tax write off too!
